Question: I plug the steamer in to the outlet but nothing happens? There seems to be no power.

[+/-] show/hide answer

Answer:

The steamer has a safety plug, when connecting the power cord to the steamer for the first time make sure the plug is pushed all the way in. At first the plug will stop, but when pushed firmly the plug will go an extra half inch in to the steamer.

If connected correctly it will make clicking noise (This will happen only in the first use).

Question: I plug the steamer in to the outlet it gets a little hot but no steam is coming out, what should I do?

[+/-] show/hide answer

Answer:

The Pressure from the steamer is controlled by the amount of salt used. Using more salt will cause a higher steam pressure (please note: if you do not use salt in conjunctions with water the steamer won't provide any steam) There for it is very important to use the correct amount of salt.

If the steamer is fully warm but producing no steam, go through these following steps:

1: unplug the power cord from the steamer.
2: empty the steamer from water.
3: For users in the U.S. and Canada) take the larger plastic provided and put 3 scoops of salt in to the water container.
4: fill container up to the line with water and poor the salt into the steamer.
5: close the steamer and let it stand pointed upward and plug with the power cord connected.

The steam should now start clicking, this means it is working now.

Answer:

If you see smoke or sparks coming out from the power cord plug (in the steamer lower part of the handle), immediately disconnect the cord from the wall outlet. Let the steamer cool down. Than contact us for more assistance.

Sparks are usually caused because of water in the white cap in the bottom of the steamer (were you plug the power cord) please make sure this area is dry before connecting the power cord.

Question
: The steamer sprays brown water from the steam outlet.

[+/-] show/hide answer

Answer:

Brown water coming out from the steam outlet is caused by either too much water or to much salt. Read over the instruction pamphlet and make sure that you use the right amount of salt, and make sure that when refilling the steamer you fill the water one inch below the measuring line.

Remember for getting practical with the steamer takes time. Don't get frustrated if the first or second time aren’t that easy.
